![]() Mr Fahey was an active member of the Democrat party. For many years he was engaged in the coal and ice business in Jerseyville. He was educated in the schools of Jerseyville and later attended the Bryant and Stratton College in Chicago. His age at the time of death was seventy-nine years, one month and twenty-nine days. The deceased was the son of the late David and Hannah Hayes Fahey, and was born in Jerseyville, Nov 27, 1870. Francis Xavier Church, Jerseyville “B” Home Extension, St Francis Altar Society and the Democrat Woman’s Club. Miss Fahey worked for General Telephone as a long distance supervisor for 28 years. She was born to David Fahey and Julian Bane on in St Louis. Mary Margaret Fahey, 74, of Jerseyville died Feb 11, at 6:58 p.m. Sunday at Fieldon United Church of Christ until the time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville. A brother, Frank Motter preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and mother, surviving are two daughters, Christie and Jill Fackler both at home and a sister Jean Schneider of Jerseyville. She married Richard Fackler Jin Fieldon and he survives. She was born in Chicago, the daughter of the Lottie Rosenthal Motter of Fieldon and the late Edward Motter. today, Jat St Joseph’s Hospital in Alton.
